Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: Journalists and media persons took out a candlelight march in district headquarters on Thursday protesting against the killing of journalist Gauri Lankesh in Bangalore on 5 September 2017. Media people condemned the killing of Kannad journo Gauri and protested the growing intolerance against dissenting voices in the country.
The incident is undoubtedly a shocking phenomenon for the fellow journalist of the country, journalist body demanded the culprits should booked at the earliest and sought speedy probe in the case. Senior scribes Ajaya Jena, Rama Chandra Mohanty, Radha Kanta Mishra,Pradipta Keshor Choudhury and Manoj Das led the agitation.
