Odisha Samaj UAE donates INR 3 Lacs to Chief Minister’s relief fund for Cyclone ‘Fani’ relief work

 

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Samaj UAE is proud to announce that pursuant to a meeting request with Odisha Chief Minister Hon. Shri. Naveen Patnaik on disposition of Relief funds, it has successfully concluded today at ‘Secretariat’, Bhubaneswar. The meeting scheduled for 1730 hrs LT on the 17th May 2019 was represented by ‘OSUAE Emissaries’, Mr. Ajit Kumar Mishra (Advisory), Capt. S.R. Patnaik (Advisory) Mr. Sushant Kumar Panda (Vice President, OSUAE) and Mr. Shubhransu Jana (Secretary, OSUAE).
While the succinct agenda of the meeting was to handover the funds collected for CMRF towards relief work in ‘Odisha’, the attendees availed this opportunity to highlight ‘OSUAE’S commitment and engagement to preserve Odisha’s social and cultural realm in UAE, besides its progressive initiatives extending towards the development and assistance of Odia community in the UAE region.
The ODIA folks residing in UAE were immensely grieved by the devastation of super cyclone ‘FANI’ and thereafter ‘OSUAE’ decided and initiated an Ernest campaign to raise funds through contribution from the families residing in the UAE region. Coming together a decent expanse of INR 300,000 was collected and the cheque was handed over. The chief minister’s acknowledgement was overwhelming. He thanked the representing Emissaries of OSUAE for instituting such campaigns to come forward and stand by their own people during times of adversity.
We would like to thank H’ble Chief Minister and CMO Odisha for acknowledging and granting their valuable time for the meeting. OSUAE looks forward to growing the overall excellence of achievement not only through its socio-cultural activities but through service while it welcomes any opportunities to contribute in this process.
