Odisha RERA Authority should make Registration of Project Hassle-Free

Bhubaneswar: the first ever All Odisha Developers’ workshop on ‘RERA Hurdles & Other Bottlenecks’ organised by the CREDAI Odisha today morning in the Hotel Swosti Premium was attended by over 100 builders & developers of the state including members and office bearers of state and city CREDAI Confederations. Participating delegates from Bhadrak, Balasore, Berhampur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Baripada, Puri, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar shared their awful experiences with RERA Authority and called for solidarity in the fraternity to take up matters at appropriate forums.
Presiding over the Grand Workshop Chairman, State federation, Sri. D.S.Tripathy explained the situation prevailing in the state after promulgation of RERA Act. He quoted examples of willful harassment in matters relating to in-ordinate delay in registration of projects, RERA confusion on old projects and ongoing project, undue botherations caused due to inappropriate fees levied in case of Power of Attorney., problems of Block & panchayat level projects etc. The chairman explained RERA Rules of Maharastra, Karnatak, Tamilnadu and Uttarpradesh and explained how projects completed before promulgation of RERA Act having civic infrastructure facilities are not taken into the ambit of ‘ongoing’ projects. He demanded Odisha RERA to adopt the same rules.
Among others Secretary, Credai Odisha Sri Anil Kumar Agarwal, President, Credai Bhubaneswar, Sri Shashi Sekhar Garabadu, President, Credai Sambalpur, Sri Rajesh M. Agarwal, Secretary, Credai Bhubaneswar Sofia Firdosh, and Secretary Berhampur Chapter Sri Prasanna Padhy took part in deliberations and spoke on common problems in Real Estate and Infrastructure Development sector.
Founder Member of Credai, Madhu Mohanty and the outgoing president Mr. Binay Krishna Das, in their inspirational address called upon all the builders to unite and work to build up a greater Odisha.
Sri Swadesh Routray, President, State federation made the welcome address while Sri Jitu Mahapatra make aware about present mindset of customers.
Later, in the afternoon Mr.D.S.Tripathy was unanimously nominated as Chairman & Mr. Binay Krishna Das, Vice Chairman of the state confederation. While Sri Sangram Keshari Sahoo and Sri Dillip Kumar Sahoo were nominated as Chairman and Member of CSR cell.
