Bhubaneswar: The All Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association on Friday called for an indefinite State-wide strike from March 14 over its various demands.
Association president Prakash Mishra said buses run by private owners will stop plying from 6 am on March 14.
“We are demanding the Government to clarify on the route map for JNNURM City Buses. Besides, the bus owners also want the hike in motor vehicle tax to be rolled back,” Mishra added.
“Though the association had submitted a memorandum to the State Government on February 19, yet the Government did not call us for a discussion,” said Mishra.
