Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police seized Helicopter of IMFA, FIR lodged against Baijayant Panda over allegedly flying over ‘No Flying Eco Sensitive Zone’ . Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi informs that Baijayant Panda was the pilot of the helicopter which had flown over Chilika.

Apart from Baijayant Panda, two others were there in the helicopter; we got detail information from the Airport Authority after CDA report says Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi.

Puri police have seized helicopter of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA). FIR lodged against former MP Baijayant Panda; the incident had taken place on Sept 15.

“A local cop from Puri has come to Bhubaneswar airport & “seized” the hangar & the helicopter i fly. Clearly, facts have no bearing, & cops privately admit “orders from 3rd floor” Brazen attempt to handicap my movement around Odisha, but they cant stop me,” tweets Baijayant Panda.

“Today a State Govt official filed an F.I.R, citing media reports (saying a Seaplane landed in Chilika at 1.30 PM) BUT changing description to “helicopter.” F.I.R still says Chilika lending at 1.30 PM, when I’d landed in Bhubaneswar,” tweets Baijayant Panda

It should be noted that earlier FIR lodged at Marine Police Station in Arakhkuda, Puri by Chilika Development Authority alleging unauthorised flying over ‘No Flying Eco Sensitive Zone’ endangering human & wildlife .
