Odisha: Mondei-2017 extravaganza a Major crowd-puller

Report by Basant Rath, Nabarangpur: The Mondei Lok Mahotsav the five-day cultural festival of Nabarangpur district is continuing at Mondei field of the district headquarter town.

The third evening started with Mayuri dance of Puri, a local tribal dance group of Nishnahandi,dhemsa dance of Koraput, Baja Sal, and Labani dances mesmerised the visitors with their scintillating performance. Similarly, melody queen, Tapu Mishra, and Bishnu Mohan Kabi’s live melody enthralled the audience by their performance on stage.

The on-going Palishree Mela here is turning out to be a major crowd-puller. Keeping in view with the heavy crowd the district administration extended another two days cultural programm with the local artists. Pallishree Mela, which will continue up to 12th December organised by ORMAS erected near the venue of the festival has been a special
attraction. Elaborate security arrangements were made for smooth conduct of the festival.
