Odisha: Lively street, golden jubilee theme and labour day awareness in Path Utsav

 
Bhubaneswar: The biggest street fest today completed its golden moment with 50th edition of Path Utsav. To memorise the event guest of event had cut a cake among thousands of participants.
Social organisation Wish foundation today coloured the Janpath stretch with rangoli art with a theme of Golden Jubilee.
The activity zone of Path Utsav was fully occupied with social organisations who have brought a lot of variety with enthusiasm. A lot of children were busy playing carom, luddo and block games till end of the show. Here plethora of events including dance, songs, skit and magic show attracted participants. Wish Anusthan organised music, dance, quiz and painting competition.
Senior citizens preferred spending time for yoga. At Sahaja Yoga corner people practised yoga with in concentration mood, relaxed with pranayams.
Child Labour Issue:
On eve of International Labour Day which falls on 1st May a number of organisations had created awareness programme on this issue. The Pecuc organisation had created awareness on child labour as tomorrow is Labour day. Another organisation CCWD also had a rally on Child Labour issue. Similarly ASIM Odisha organisation created awareness on Child Labour issue.
Rangoli artist Itishree Dixit presented a special art on golden jubilee theme with logos of Tourism department, commissionarate police, BMC and BDA.


At the Bakul library corner children and senior citizens were seen reading books making themselves aloof of the thousands of pedestrians who were just walking along the side leaving ambience of joyful moments.
Lively Street:
The Janpath street stretch become lively with a lot of young girls and boys seen seating in groups, amusing and making fun of the path ustsav hours. Shadow of trees were full of participants today as sunny rays started showering as early as sticks of clock ticked at 8 o’clock. Children were seen playing with football, ringball and other games in the cycle and skating zone. Bow and arrow was another attractive event in the activity zone.
Rose to Cyclist:
The Jay Odisha foundation which has dedicated itself the promotion of cycle ridding for a pollution free environment today on the occasion of golden jubilee of the event felicitated the cyclists with red roses. The organisation also gave glucose water to every participant.
Dedication to martyrs of Sukma:
Path Utsav’s most memorable spot was the mass signature wall for the martyrs of Sukma Naxal incident which killed our brave CRPF soldiers. Thousands of messages those came of the hearts of participants were displayed through a big flex wall few of them were expressing: SALAM JAWANS.
