Odisha: K. Krushna Kumari awarded Florence Nightingale Award

New Delhi: On International Nurse Day President Pranab Mukherjee honored Ms. K. Krushna Kumari with Florence Nightingale Award. The event organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan. With a citation and Cash award of Rs. 50000/=given for her dedication on health care at Kukudakhandi block. From a dire poverty Ms. Krishna Kumari started her career as Anganwadi Worker.
For her benevolent contributions on Mother & Child health care she was later elected as Samiti Member in Kukudakhandi Panchayat Samiti. Later on she has been appointed as staff female health worker & posted at Banthapalli Sub-centre under Kukudakgandi Community Health Center. Called as” Didi” for her astute dedication to check lMR & MMR and could reach at unreach area as her 24×7 hours service, ante natal & post natal mothers could get good service.
Various award from state government yet could not restrain her dedication and praised by local community. Born from Late K. Adinarayana & K. Rajeswari she shared her honor to parents for their love & care. Her brother K. Manibabu a physically disabled still a prominent figure for his social commitment. He too earlier awarded as Best Distributor from Petroleum Ministry under Govt. of India.
