Report by Nishapati Nayak; Koraput: On Saturday night after getting specific ; information from our own spy from a reliable source regarding passing of one 407 vehicle loaded with ganja from Pukkili (Odisha) to Saluru (Andhrapradesh ) , the BSF troops of COB Sunki 120 Bn BSF immediately laid vehicle checking on NH 26 ahead of Sunki market.
At about 0040 hrs on 22/10/17 when the suspected TATA 407 Pick up vehicle reached near check point, the BSF party indicated the driver by torch to stop the vehicle, the driver stopped it just ahead of Party. However, the driver managed to escape from the spot by leaving his vehicle on the road by taking the advantage of darkness in the night. Later on 22/10/17 afternoon the BSF troops handed over the seized suspected ganja appx 610 kg worth of Rs 12,20,000/- appx.alongwith the TATA 407 veh bearing no OR 10H 3249 to police station Pottangi , dist Koraput.
