Bhubaneswar : In just over a month of enactment of law for land rights to slum dwellers, the process of settlement has been initiated by the Government. The pilot exercise started in Konark today with officials using latest drone-based technology to identify and delineate land in the slum areas of the town.
The exercise will commence in six ULBs of Ganjam district from 27 October with a target of starting patta distribution in all these seven urban areas from 1 January 2018. Over 1 lakh pattas are aimed to be delivered to the beneficiaries by June 2018.
