Odisha govt seeks help of Kerala govt for 130 stranded labourers at Aluva Munnar Road

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government urges Kerala govt to make necessary arrangement for providing necessary support (food, drinking water & other necessities) to about 130 people from Odisha who have taken shelter in a house at Aluva Munnar Road, Odapally.

In a letter, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi requested PH Kurian, Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management, Kerala, to make necessary arrangements for food, drinking water and other supports to the Odia labourers.

According to sources, 60 workers from Puri, 30 from Cuttack and 40 from Phulbani, were working at a company in Ernakulam. They have taken shelter in a house at Odapally after being affected by the flood.

The victims sent a video requesting the Odisha government to make arrangements for their safe rescue.
