Odisha Govt feliciated skilled professional who worked in post flood repair & restoration work at Ernakulam

Bhubaneswar: A felicitation and certificate award ceremony for the “Helping hand of skilled in Odisha professional to post flood repair & restoration work at Ernakulam” was held in the conference hall of State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training, Bhubaneswar.

They were being felicitated by the Chairman, Odisha Skill Development Authority, Subroto Bagchi while the Director, Directorate of Technical Education & Training, Balwant
singh was also present there. It was a proud moment for Odisha Technical and Vocational Education Training sector to listen twenty five Skilled-in-Odisha professionals shared their ten days experience in past flood repair & restoration works at Ernakulam district of Kerala.

The returned team had a lot of experience & confidence as observed by Chairman, OSDA. He said that time has arrived to magnify tiny team 25 to 500 skilled –in-Odisha professionals to face any such natural disasters armed with modern technologies in one year time. He also added that, Natural disasters are bound to happen but our team of skilled professionals will work as ITI
Rapid Action Force who will be capable to serve such disasters distress mankind in long run.

Training Officer, Pradeep Kumar Sahu who led the team while 19 from Electronic, 3 from plumbing and 3 from Carpenter trade were there. The teams were worked in Vadakkakkara, Kunnukkakkara and Parakkadavu Panchayat of Ernakulam district. This team was worked in the Naipunya Karmasena under Industrial Training department of Kerala.

After seeing the skill work of the skilled professionals of Odisha , the Minister of Labour & Employment, Kerala, T. P. Ramakrishnan has also felicitated the team. The Principal, Kalmeswari Govt. ITI, P.K. Raghunandan has also provided all supports to the team. The team also shared their experience that the people of Kerala have never lost their patience, honesty, sincerity and also providing hospitality after seeing a great loss. That was the great
lesson they learnt which they will remember forever. Among others Joint secretary, SDTE, Ajay Nayak, Deputy Director, Ajay Panda and Principal, Govt. ITI, Bhubaneswar, Jitamitra
Satpathy were also present in the felicitation ceremony.
