Odisha Govt effected major reshuffle in IPS cadre, Satyajit Mohanty new commissioner of twin city

Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer Satyajit Mohanty has been appointed as the police commissioner of twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in a major reshuffle effected by the Odisha government on Saturday.

Mohanty, a 1988 batch IPS officer, is presently working as the Additional Director General of Police (provisioning), will replace YB Khurania, the incumbent twin city commissioner of police. Khurania has been transferred and posted as ADG of police (provisioning).

Similarly, Sanjeeb Panda, a 1994 batch IPS officer, currently serving as IG of Police (Special Armed Police) has been transferred and posted as Transport Commissioner. IG of Police (Law & Order) Amitabh Thakur has been given additional charge of I.G. of Police, SAP.

Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao, currently serving as SP, CID-CB, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak. The incumbent SP of Bhadrak, Battula Gangadhar, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Kalahandi.

Madkar Sandeep Sampat, the incumbent SP of Kalahandi has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID-CB.

Debi Prasad Dash, an Odisha Police Service officer, currently posted as the Additional SP of Bonai, Rourkela, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police in-charge of Sonepur.
