Odisha govt announced 3.5 lakh retired govt employees in state to get revised pension

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday announced the benefit of revised pension from October this year for 3.5 lakh pensioners who are yet to get the revised pay.

Tuhin Kant Pandey, Principal Secretary, Finance Department of Odisha chaired a high-level meeting over allegations of non-payment of pension were raised by lakhs of retired employees in the State.

After meeting, Pandey informed that the 3.5 lakh retired government employees in the state will get the revised pension from this month.

It should be noted that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had on September 29 announced implementation of the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission for nearly 4.5 lakh State government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.
