Odisha Governor Prof.Ganeshi Lal inaugurated the “Singhi Library & Museum” in Bhubaneswar

Bhubneswar: Governor of Odisha Prof. GaneshiLal inaugurated the “Singhi Library & Museum” near Kalpana Square of the Capital City of Bhubaneswar. This Library-Cum-Museum was founded by “Singhi Charitable Trust” for the educational development of the school and college students especially for those who are interested in higher education and research. Shri Pratap Singh Singhi, the Chairman of the Singhi Charitable Trust assures that this Library will provide all the necessary books free of cost to students on their approach. At present there are more than 30,000 precious books from India and abroad in the Library and likely to enhance the number up to 1 Lakh books in future.While interacting with media he spoke that interested students can enjoy reading of all his precious collection of books in Air-conditioned Library free of cost. In his Library there are huge collection of books on Science, Literature, art, Culture, Sculpture, Political Science, history, Yoga, Biographies, Economics, Geography, Games and Sports, Novels, education, medical science, Engineering, Agriculture, Law, Fashion, Tourism and a huge collections of books on religions of the entire world.

Other than Library in Museum section there are a huge collections of coins, match box design covers of almost all countries of the world. Apart from those there are antiques, rare photographs, portraits, medals etc of different periods that are quite educative and informative to the people of all ages and interest. In spite of all those educational ambience made available for the general public and tourists of the State Shri Singhi regrets as the number of foot fall is quite meagre. So he has requested all the students, parents, teachers and general public of the Capital City to make best use of those educational resources made available for their benefits.

He has also requested to the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha to provide a suitable land or a road side government quarter, so that the Singhi Charitable Trust can develop an advanced Library –Cum-Museum at its own cost for the service of the people of Odisha.
