Odisha government recruits 483 new doctors

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government recruits 483 new doctors; issues directions to appoint 500 new assistant section officers in Secretariat.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik handed over appointment letters to the newly-recruited doctors at the Secretariat here today. The newly-recruited doctors will be posted in different parts of the state. The government has given emphasis for the posting of doctors in rural and remote areas, a statement issued by the CMO said.

Moreover, the state government has decided to recruit 500 assistant section officers (ASOs) at the secretariat soon. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has been asked to initiate the recruitment process. The recruitment process will be completed in 2018. It will help fill-up various posts lying vacant at the secretariat, the CMO statement added.
