Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: The special Task Force [STF] of Crime Branch [CB] on Sunday picked up Dipiti Dash and raided his two hotels, residence at Mukundapur for his alleged links with notorious gangster sheik Usman Ali alias Tito.
An eight member STF team led by DSP Ramachandra Thamba in association with Jagatsinghpur police carried out the search operation at Dipiti’s hotels Nirmala Residency and Brundaban Guest house including his residency from Sunday morning and continued till 1PM. The visiting STF cops recovered a licensed Pistol, 12 round cartridges, and cash Rs 64, 200. Meanwhile Dipti was taken CB headquarters for questioning to ascertain his link with Tito, informed STF, DSP Ramachandra Thumba. [Ends]
