Malkangiri: Director General of Police (DGP) RP Sharma on Thursday visited Malkangiri district and reviewed the security measures to be taken at the Gurupriya bridge.
Several other police officials including intelligence IG Sunil Ray, RP Koche IG (operations), IG Ghanshyam Upadhyay and Malkangiri SP Jagmohan Meena were also present during the inspection.
The inspection came in the wake of Malkangiri bandh called given by Maoists on Wednesday opposing the inauguration of the Gurupriya bridge.The bridge to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik soon.
