Puri: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurates Habisha Kendra in Puri through videoconferencing . Inaugurating a Habisha Kendra here through a videoconferencing from Bhubaneswar, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday greeted Habisiali women who came to Puri from different parts of the State to observe Kartika brata for a month from Monday.

The CM wished the elderly women good health and smooth passage of month till Kartika Purnima.

“Maa Mane Namaskar. Apana Mananku Puri Re Pai Mu Khusi Anubhaba Karuchi (I am saluting the mothers and feeling happy getting them in Puri for Habisha)” the Chief Minster said in Odia.’Getting Naveen live on silver screen in the center, the excited womenchanted Hulahuli.

All #Habishyalis can get ‘Mahaprasad’ free of cost. Special religious/devotional/cultural programmes to be held during evenings to keep them engaged. A ‘Tulasi Chauran’ has been erected near the centers to help them in performing their daily rituals.Free food, drinking water & healthcare facilities to be provided to all #Habishyalis Special buses have been arranged with which they can board to the #JagannathTemple from their shelter. Bathing facilities has been arranged for male & female near Narendra Pushkarini. CCTV cameras installed to keep a close watch on any untoward incident.Special arrangements made to ensure safe & smooth stay for all #Habishyalis coming to Puri to observe #KartikaBrata.
Free accommodation for nearly 3000 Habishyalis have been arranged at Puri Railway Tourist complex, Municipal Kalyan Mandap & Narendra Kona Habishyali centre.
Fire brigade, doctors, ambulance & police have been deployed.
Around 500 Govt officials & staffs, 120 volunteers of ‘Youth for Better Puri’ & 60 members of RedCross have been engageged to monitor the program
