Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh for the next of kin of Army jawan Naik Ajit Kumar Sahoo, who was martyred in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister also took the Twitter route to condole the demise of Sahoo, saying “Salute to the supreme sacrifice of the brave solider; my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family.” It should be noted that Sahoo had sustained injuries in an IED blast carried out by militants at Arihal village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday. He succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday
