Balasore: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik addressed Regional Youth Conclave Balasore, inaugurated 33 projects. Addressing Biju Yuva Vahini R volunteers at the conclave, CM Navee Patnaik lauded their commitment to social causes like anti-intoxication, cleanliness etc. He urged youths to adopt volunteerism as a vocation in life and work for welfare of the people.

Attending Biju Yuba Vahini Conclave in Baleswar, CM Naveen Pantaik inaugurated ₹ 101 Cr and₹ 63.56 Cr ROBs, improved Anantapur-Soro-Kupri Road, ₹ 49 Cr HL bridge over Chetei Nallah, ₹ 21.32Cr HL bridge over Panchupada River & ₹ 12.30 Cr HL bridge over Subarnarekha near Gurudaspur. He also laid foundation for ₹ 172.91 Cr Mega Rural Pipewater Supply Project in Nilgiri block, ₹ 49.94 Cr Fishing Harbour at Chandipur, ₹ 44.50 Cr anti-sea erosion project, ₹ 189.97 Cr HL bridge and ₹24.54 Cr HL bridge over Subarnarekha & other development projects.

The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone for the Subarnarekha port here and launched a slew of projects during his visit to the district on Wednesday.

The proposed port project will be built with the partnership of TATA Steel at expenses of around Rs 5,000 crore. The port, with an estimated cargo handling capacity of 25-55 million MT per annum, will create 12,000 jobs in Odisha.
