Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik felicitated Ms. Jayanti Behera, winner of 400m gold and 200m silver at Junior World Para Athletics Championships held at Nottwil, Switzerland.
Announcing cash prize of ₹12 lakh, he wished her the best and encouraged her to win many more such medals for the country.
“It was a delight to meet World Junior Para Athletics Championships gold and silver medalist Ms. Jayanti Behera. She has made the state proud with her stupendous feat. Her success is a towering example of beating all odds with determination and hard work. She is an inspiration for all of us,” said CM Naveen Patnaik.
“Congratulated her and announced a cash prize of ₹12 lakh as mark of our recognition of her efforts. I wished her all the best and am confident that she will earn more laurels for the country,,” said CM Naveen Patnaik.
