Bhubanedswar: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik felicitated Debapriya Samal who rescued daughter-in-law of freedom fighter Laxmi Indira Panda.
“Glad to meet Debapriya Samal who rescued daughter-in-law of freedom fighter Laxmi Indira Panda at Balasore. Presented him with a memento in appreciation of his great humanitarian gesture. Good Samaritans like him reinforce values of humanity in the society. Debapriya’s act will encourage others to help people in distress. I am also very concerned that the grandson of Smt. Laxmi Indira Panda is still missing. Have directed Director General of Police to find him as soon as possible,” said CM Naveen Patnaik.
