Odisha Chief Secretary reviews security arrangements for PM’s Bhubaneswar visit

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary A.P. Padhi today reviews security arrangement for PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Bhubaneswar. PM Narendra Modi to arrive in Bhubaneswar on Apr15, leave on 16.

Home Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy presented all data regarding the Prime Minister’s tour as availed from the PMO. The Chief Secretary told Secretaries of all concerned departments that the Prime Minister’s protocol and security are to be given highest priority.

According to the schedule, the Prime Minister would arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in the afternoon on April 15 and directly move to the Raj Bhavan. In the evening, he would go to the Janata Maidan to attend the BJP national executive meeting. He would stay in the Raj Bhavan for the night.

On April 16 morning, the Prime Minister would again go to the Janata Maidan to attend the party meeting. He would be back to Surat in Gujarat in the afternoon.

Development Commissioner R Balkrishnan, DGP KB Singh, Energy Secretary Hemant Kumar Sharma, Works Secretary Nalini Kanta Pradhan and senior officers of the Central Government were present.

It should be noted that The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP ) will hold its two-day national executive meeting in Bhubaneswar from 15 April. The national executive meet will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party national president Amit Shah, senior leader L.K. Advani and others. Senior party leader MM Joshi, home minister Rajnath Singh, union finance minister Arun Jaitley, external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, union minister Venkaiah Naidu and other party leaders will also be present at the meeting. Chief Ministers from 13 BJP ruled state will join two-day national executive meeting in Bhubaneswar.
