Odisha BJP activists staged a demonstration over ouster of Sam Pitroda from the post of Technical Adviser

Bhubanewar: Odisha BJP activists staged a demonstration at the Master Canteen square here on Sunday over ouster of Sam Pitroda from the post of Technical Adviser to the State Government for his alleged complicity in the National Herald property grabbing case.

“Pitroda is doing nothing for the State but still enjoying a Cabinet Minister rank status for ‘unholy nexus’ between the BJD and the Congress,” BJP State vice-president Samir Mohanty alleged and demanded that he should be dismissed from the post immediately for interest of the State.

“The people have always been deprived of their rights due to the BJD-Congress link. The BJP will continue to fight to protect the interest of Odisha and its people,” said Mohanty.

Earlier on Saturday, BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma had alleged that Pitroda is a co-accused with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald property grabbing case. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given him a Cabinet Minister rank because Pitroda acts as a bridge of link between him (Patnaik) and Gandhi family, Sharma had alleged.
