Odisha: BJD nominee Rajashree files papers for Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha seat

Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: The BJD candidate MLA Dr Rajashree Mallick filed her nomination papers for the Jagatsinghpur reserved Lok Sabha seat on Saturday. Dr Mallick came in a rally from Jaipur escorting her Tirtol BJD supporters reached district headquarters at 1PM later filed her papers before Collector G Poonam Tapas Kumar who is the returning Officer for the 16- Jagatsinghpur reserved parliamentary constituency. Interestingly none of senior district BJD leaders were accompanied Dr Mallick during nomination even Party’s district president Bishnu Das was seen lacking with Dr Mallick, sources said that Dr Mallick filed papers accompanying Zilla Parishad Priyadarshini Biswal, Jagatsinghpur Block Biju Mahila Dal president Kirana Bala Sasmal, ZP member Dejalin Mohapatra and few negligible women from Biridi, Raghunathpur and Tirtol areas, Moreover as the Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha seat comprises with 7 assembly segments very small numbers of BJD sympathizers were spotted during nominations.
While according to district public relation and information’s officer Kamini Ranjan Patnaik informed that a candidate Prabira Kumar Lenka from ASP was filed nomination for the 104- Jagatsinghpur assembly seat before Returning officer sub collector Jagatsinghpur on Saturday.
