Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly adjourned till 3 PM amid ruckus by Congress and BJP MLAs over Nilagiri minor rape. In the morning Assembly adjourned till 11.30 AM after ruckus by opposition over Nilagiri minor rape case & deteriorating law and order situation across.
It should be noted that a four-year-old girl was raped after being lured with chocolates by a youth and her private parts were mutilated in Nilgiri area in Baleswar district.
The victim was admitted to a local hospital. The Nilgiri police launched probe to nab the accused following a complaint was filed by the victim’s family on Saturday.
According to reports, the incident occurred at Hata Sahi under the Nilagiri police limits on April 13.
The complaint in the FIR said the accused Nityachandan alias Jiban Jena (24) had called the girl, the daughter of Sudarshan Jena of Hata Sahi village, to his home alluring her with chocolates while she was playing on the road in front of her house.
Jiban allegedly raped the girl in his house and mutilated her private parts. The victim told everything about the incident to her mother. After her condition deteriorated, the family rushed her to the Nilgiri hospital.
