Dammam: Diaspora Association of Odias staying at Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kalingan KSA celebrated Utkal Dibas on 12th April at Dammam with much pomp. More than 300
families attend the function.
Prominent Odia Industrialist Asmacs Group Chairman Dr Dev Mohanty was the chief guest on this occasion. Ollywood Actor Mr Jyotiranjan Nayak attended the occasion as Guest of Honor.
The ceremony was started with lighting up of the sacred lamp, followed by song Bande Utkala Janani. Odissi Dance, songs and cuisines were the attraction of the event. Annual mouthpiece “Kalingan 2019” was released by the chief guest on this occasion. Dr Dev Mohanty expressed, that in the changing cultural environment of Saudi Arab, efforts by Kalingan KSA to spread the awareness about our culture is praiseworthy. Actor Jyotiranjan highly appreciated the members love towards Odia culture and Odisha.
Kalingan KSA’s members Mr Seikh Sharafat, Mr, Santosh Das, Mr Jyotirmay Dash, Mr Preetam Mohnaty, Mr Ranjan Rath were few of the main coordinators under whose guidance such a nice event saw the light of success.
