Odia guy made a record by writing articles on Wikipedia

Bhadrak: An Odia guy named Sangram Keshari Senapati from Bhadrak made a record worldwide by writing articles every day on Odia Wikipedia for 2 years, where he is writing at least one article every day. He is the 3rd person in the world after Pranayraj Vangari from Telugu Wikipedia and Nitesh Gill from Panjabi Wikipedia.

Sangram started editing on Odia Wikipedia in December 2014. He started with Odia culture and film industry and then worked on various Wikimedia projects like Odia Wikisource, Wiki Commons, Wikidata, etc. On 8th March 2017 he started the 100wikidays challenge, an initiative started from Bulgaria to write one article every day for 100 days. After finishing this, he started the WikiYear challenge from 13th July 2017 and completed the 1st Wiki Year on 12th July in 2018 and within those 365 days, he wrote 365 articles on Odia Film Industry and as a result of his efforts, all Odia movies articles are now available on Odia Wikipedia.

This year he completed 2nd Wikiyear on 12th July 2019. He is continuing this wiki challenge by writing articles on the MLAs elected to Odisha Vidhan Sabha. Now he has more than 23500 edits on Odia Wikipedia and has written more than 1015 articles on Odia Wikipedia. Apart from this, he has completed his 1st Wikiyear on Odia Wikisource and continuing the 2nd WikiYear. In a global Photography competition in 2019 named “Wiki Loves Love” on Wikimedia Commons, he got 3rd rank in India and 6th rank Worldwide by uploading photos on Odia culture and functions.

Sangram is the founder of an Odia e-Magazine named Shubhapallaba (www.shubhapallaba.com & shubhapallaba.in) which is the 1st e-Magazine from Odisha to introduce the Audio version and releases it on YouTube for pubic. Being an editor of the same magazine, he has expanded the magazine to other languages like English, Bangla, Hindi, and Sanskrit.
