Talcher: NTPC Talcher Kaniha bagged First Prize in NTPC Business Excellence Model (NBEM) Assessment 2016-17.
The award was given by Honorable Power and New & Renewable Minister , Shri R K Singh to Shri R K Srivastava ,Regional Executive Director ,(ER II) and Shri Ram Kuber ,Executive Director ,NTPC Talcher Kaniha today in the august presence of Shri Gurdeep Singh,CMD ,NTPC Limited and Board of Directors during International O & M Conference held at New Delhi.
The award was conferred to NTPC Talcher Kaniha power station as recognition for excellence on selected parameters like strategy, operational performance, safety, HR, environment & CSR. During this financial year 22 NTPC power stations have undergone with assessment process. On the basis of assessment, jury has awarded NTPC Talcher Kaniha as the best performer.
The O&M conference is organized to commemorate synchronization of its first thermal plant at Singrauli Super Thermal Power Station 36 years ago
