National Safety Day observed at NTPC Talcher Kaniha

Kaniha: 47th National Safety Day was celebrated on 4th March 2018 with theme “Reinforce positive behavior at the work place to achieve safety and health goods”. Shri A. K. Tripathy, General Manager (O&M) unfurled the flag and safety pledge taken with the participants. Speaking on the occasion Shri Tripathy said that “Year 2018 is being celebrated as Safety Year in NTPC” and NTPC Kaniha should give its best effort to win the “CMD trophy for Contribution in Safety” which was introduced this year” .

Senior officials GM(Maintenance), GM(Operation), GM (FM) and GM(C&M) spoke on importance of Safety Day and implementation of safety standards in power station.

To encourage safety consciousness among various stakeholders, prizes were distributed to the winners of essay writing competition “Road Safety” to the children of DAV, KV and SSVM schools.

Safety conscious employees, contract workers, Safety Officers of agencies, the agencies engaged during overhauling and CISF Fire Wing staff etc. were given awards for their contribution for following safety standards and implementation in work.
