Bhubaneswar: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), organized the two day long ‘Basant Pushpa Pradarshani’, its annual Flower Show at Nalco Nagar, Bhubaneswar on 20th and 21st January. Shri B.K. Thakur, Director (HR), inaugurated the flower show on January 20. As many as 18 institutions and 76 individuals participated during the event under various competitions like cut flowers, potted plants, foliages, flower arrangements, rangoli etc. Smt. Preeti Roy, President, Nalco Mahila Samiti, graced the concluding ceremony as the chief guest and handed over the prizes to the winners in different categories.
In the Institutional Category, C.V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, bagged the champions trophy, while J.K. Papers Limited, was the runner up. The Queen of the Show prize was won by Prabhat Resorts of Puri. Similarly, Champion of the Show in Individual category was won by Shri Amiya Prasad Sahu while Ms Ranjita Rout bagged the runner up prize. Among others, Shri A.K. Patnaik, GM (H&A) & Shri J. Reyaz, GM(IE,CC,PR)I/c were notably present on the occasion. Shri R.K. Pradhan, Sr. Manager (Mech) coordinated the programme.
