Milk Mantra launches Chhenapoda with low sugar and 15 days shelf life enabling Odisha’s favourite dessert to travel across the world

Puri: On the occasion of National Milk Day, marking the birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, dairy major Milk Mantra has forayed into the Dairy Dessert category by launching Odisha’s quintessential Chhenapodá.
Milk Mantra has creatively launched Chhenapodá by honouring Dr. Kurien through a beautiful sand art created by renowned sand artist and Padmashree Sudarsan Pattnaik, on the holy sea beach of Puri – showcasing amalgamation of best-in-class art and food innovation from Odisha. Odisha is well known for its art forms as people have been able to showcase it across the world, but the equally intricate food of Odisha has not been able to get the right platform for people to experience it. But now with packaging innovation from Milk Mantra, this is being made possible for Odisha’s favorite Chhenapoda.

A definite shift from the unorganised to the organised dessert sector is being witnessed, but not all products come with stringent quality controls and packaging innovation to ensure an extended shelf life.
Debashish Mohanty, Head of Quality and NPD, Milk Mantra said, “Milky Moo Chhenapodá is made from ethically sourced Truly Pure milk and with its packaging innovation, the fresh taste is retained by its individual peel-able vacuum packs. Even without any preservatives, it has an extended shelf life of 15 days because of this.”
Milky Moo Chhenapodá has been crafted for the contemporary consumers, while preserving the traditional method of baking soft cottage wrapped in sal leaves, it is processed in its state-of-the art plant at Gop, Puri. It is low in sugar and has lesser suji in comparison to the other variants available in the market so it is a better option for today’s calorie and health conscious individuals.
