Bhubaneswar: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited operating state of Odisha, is committed for inclusive development of society with the growth of the company.
The company has set-up an exhibit projecting its approach towards development and growth of society, particularly peripheral population, by its initiatives under CSR as well as opportunities being provided to promote the MSMEs and encourage entrepreneurship in Odisha.
Mr Prafulla Samal, Minister of Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Women & Child Development & (Mission Shakti), Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of Odisha, inaugurated the exhibit of Mahanadi Coalfields at 21st Enterprise Odisha.
A model of Mahanadi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Talcher, — a Rs 492 crore-CSR project under health and education initiatives — was also on display with panels on company’s remarkable achievements.
The exhibition, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with the support of Government of Odisha, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr Naveen Patnaik last evening.
