MCL organises lecture on ‘Principles of Integrity for Persons in Public Life’

 

Sambalpur: Mr Ajay Pandey, IRS, Commissioner of the Customs & Central Excise, Raipur, delivered a lecture on “Principles of Integrity for Persons in Public Life”at a programme organised by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a leading subsidiary of Coal India Limited, for the senior officers and their spouse.

Mr Pandey, who is also a renowned Urdu poet, was invited for 2nd CIL EIC Lecture Series Programme organised by the MCL Chapter of Coal India Limited Ethics & Integrity Club on Saturday.

In his keynote address, Mr Pandey gave an historical perspective on the need of practicing ethical behviour in workplace and integrity towards organisation.

Mr A K Jha, Chairman & Managing Director, MCL, in his presidential address said ethical behaviour and integrity towards one’s own is expected from everyone. ‘’There can’t be anyone who doesn’t know what is wrong or what is right’’ he said, emphasising on decision-making with full conscience and without prejudice.

Mr Munawar Khursheed, CVO & Working President of Ethics & Integrity Club-MCL Chapter in his introductory speech gave a brief overview on activities of club and exhorted on need of integrity in work place.

Mr JP Singh, Director (Technical/Operations), Mr L N Mishra, Director (Personnel), Mr OP Singh, Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) were prominent among senior officers, including Area General Managers of MCL attending the programme.

The CVOalso presented Integrity Pledge certificates of the Central Vigilance Commission toJagriti Mahila Mandal presidentDr (Ms) Nisha Thakur, vice-presidents Ms Paramjit Kaur, Ms Madhoo Mishra, Ms Naushina Aafrin Ali and Ms Padamja Singh, besides the CMD & Directors.
