Sambalpur: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) reached out different segments of the society orgainsing various activities to create awareness on cleanliness during the 15-day long observation of Swachhta Pakhwara under Swachh Bharat Mission that concluded today.
All areas and units of MCL spread over four districts – Angul, Jhasuguda, Sundergarh and Sambalpur — of Odisha organised different programmes to involve students and civil society in Swachhta activities, like awareness rallies, sapling distribution and plantation, cleanliness drives and various competitions on Swachhta.
Students of various schools joined MCL to conducted Swachhta rallies, distributed pamphlets and organised street plays to spread awareness among people in peripheral villages in MCL command.
Winners of various competitions, like painting, symposiums, slogan writings etc, were given awarded at concluding ceremonies organised at MCL Area HQs (in Angul, Sundergarh and Jharsugua districts) as well as company headquarters here today.
