Sambalpur: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) today celebrated National Unity Day with officers, staff and their families joining the march to support the unity and brotherhood.
Commemorating birth anniversary of ‘Iron Man’ Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, MCL organsied unity marches at the company headquarters.
Flagging off a run-cum-march for unity this morning, Mr S N Mehta, General Manager (E&M) also administered a ‘Pledge for Unity’ to all the participants, including family members of officers and staff.
Mr D K Panigrahi, General Manager (Personnel/Welfare) was prominent among senior officers and staff at the flagging off ceremony.
Mr AP Vishwakarma, General Manager (Personnel), flagged-off the march through Jagruti Vihar colony.
Led by MCL Security personnel, members of various clubs – MCL Officers’ Club, Anand Vihar Club, Mahanadi Golf Club, Jagriti Mahila Sabha and Anand Vihar Ladies’ Club – students of MCL DAV School Burla also participated in the march at Jagriti Vihar.
