Sambalpur: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited has provided financial assistance of Rs.8,07,699/- to Catholic Mission Hospital, Bargarh under its CSR initiative. The fund has been utilized in procurement of OT equipments, and Anesthesia workstation.
In addition to providing much needed preventive and curative medical healthcare to poor people, the hospital is engaged in implementation of Govt programs viz. DOTS- the TB eradication program, Janani Suraksha Yojana, and Immunisation program.
The Centre specializes in Reconstructive Surgeries on physically challenged and leprosy patients and the new OT has been a great boon for this cause as 11 reconstructive surgeries have been performed since the commissioning of new unit. The Hospital authorities have expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to MCL.
