MCL for achieving “zero accident” level in mining operation

Sambalpur: Annual Safety Fortnight 2017-18 today commenced at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, with employees taking pledge to give the safety first priority at work place.

Mr J P Singh, Director (Technical/Operations), formally declared open the Annual Safety Fortnight, wherein a series of activities will be undertaken to make employees safety conscious and achieve “zero accident” potential in mining operations.

Mr Singh hoisted safety flag at MCL HQs and administered Safety Oath to the employees.

Addressing the gathering, Mr J P Singh empahsised on the importance of safety in the life of human being and instructed all to stay alert and follow safety guidelines at workplace. “Our target is to achieve ‘zero accident’ level in mining operations” the Director (Technical Operations) said.

Mr O P Singh, Director (Technical/Projects & Planning), Mr Munawar Khursheed, IRPF, Mr K R Vasudevan, Director (Finance) and Mr A K Singh, General Manager (Safety & Rescue) were prominent among General Managers, heads of various departments and employees of headquarters.
