Madhya Pradesh is Fast Developing State said CM Chouhan

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is a fast developing state. Growth rate of Madhya Pradesh is continuously in double digit since last 8 months. The growth rate is estimated to be 12.21 percent and per capita income is expected over Rs. 72 thousand this year. The agriculture growth rate is 20 percent constantly during last 5 years. Shri Chouhan was addressing the state level Independence Day Celebration programme at Motilal Nehru Stadium in capital today. In his message to the citizens on the occasion of 70th anniversary of Independence, while remembering the freedom fighters Shri Chouhan extended greetings to the citizens. He hoisted the National Flag and took salute from the Independence Day Parade.

CM Shri Chouhan mentioned that the state government has taken a decision to make memorial in the memeory of revolutionaries. Shaurya Smarak has been constructed in the memory of soldiers who have sacrificed their lives protecting borders of the country. He further said that Samman Rashi of Rs. One crore will be given to the family of Martyr Nayab Subedar Shri Jagram Singh Tomar, resident of Morena who scarificed his life at the border. Government employment will also be given to one of his family member besides a plot or house.

Moreover, Shri Chouhan stated that India has a policy that we will not instigate anyone but if anyone instigate us then we will not spare them. He said that Strong India is progressing speedily in the leadership of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Prime Minister has amazing competency to take decisions. He is prosperous with creative thoughts. India has earned respect in the entire world in his leadership and guidance. Every citizen should come forward for contribution to transform his thought of strong and prosperous India into ground reality. He urged the citizens to make the state a poverty free state.

Spare some Time for Social Work

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan mentioned that mutual efforts of all are needed for fast development of the state. He called upon the citizens to spare atleast 2 hours time in a month in any of the field in social work voluntarily.

Shri Chouhan deliberating on GST said that the new tax reformed system will strengthen Madhya Pradesh economy. All the misconceptions regarding GST have been solved. He further mentioned that a decision to construct Chambal Express Way has been taken for the development of Chambal region. Shri Chouhan said that the Prime Minister has given a mantra to build Terrorism Free India. Several remarkable works has been carried out in Madhya Pradesh in this regard. SIMI’s network has been destroyed. Dacoits have been eliminated. Shri Chouhan congratulated I.G. Police Shri Anshuman Yadav and S.P. Shri Rajendra Hingankar for solving the problem of dacoits in Satna and Rewa area recently.

Furthermore, Shri Chouhan mentioned that no poor will become landless in the state. Every poor will have land to dwell and become a owner of that land. Shri Chouhan said that every poor will have their own house till 2022. A target to build 5 lakh houses in urban areas and 15 lakh houses in rural areas till next year has been set. He informed that increase has been made in discretionary fund of the Chief Minister to lend more help to the needy persons.

Footwear for Tendu Leaf Collectors

Shri Chouhan stated that Mahua is being procured on support price in the interest of tribal mahua collectors. A Charan Paduka Yojana has been launched for tendu leaf collectors. Footwears and water bottles are provided to them under the scheme. Moreover, Deen Dayal Vananchal Yojana has been started for tribal community dwelling in forest villages. All kinds of facilities are being provided for poor.

Campaign for Redressal of Revenue Cases

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a campaign will be launched for immediate redressal of revenue cases. All the undisputed mutation, partition and demarcation cases will be solved within 3 months. A cash reward of Rs. One lakh will be given to the person who bring pending revenue case in the notice of the government after 3 months. The amount towards reward will be recovered from the guilty officer/employee. No Officer/employee will be spared towards derelictions of their duties. A stringent action will be taken against them. Informing about the compulsory retirement to one of the officer of the Indian Administrative Services, Shri Chouhan mentioned that if any public servant is found involved in corruption than a strict action of termination from the services will be taken.

Referring to the Resolution of Swachha Bharat of the Prime Minister, Shri Chouhan said that Indore and Bhopal have secured first and second position in the entire India. All the urban bodies have become free of open defecation.

Shri Chouhan asserted that Madhya Pradesh is the fastest growing state. 24 hours electricity is available in the state. Irrigation capacity has been built on 40 lakh hectare area and a target has been fixed to provide irrigation facility to 60 lakh hectare area till 2020. Adopting principle of ‘Per Drop More Crop’ now micro irrigation schemes are being implemented in the state to provide irrigation facility in the agriculture sector.

Krishak Udyami Yojana for farmers’ children

The Chief Minister said that farmers and farming are on the state government’s priority. With Girdawari mobile app now crop production can now be estimated. He said that now the difference amount of support price on sale of crop will be deposited in the farmers’ account. Crop insurance scheme will be made more effective. Krishak Udyami Yojana has been launched for farmers’ children through which they will be provided with loan and grant.

Discussing the drinking water arrangement in rural areas, the Chief Minister said that tap water will be made available in general areas with more than 1000 population and in SC/ST dominated villages with more than 500 population.

On the innovations in the education sector, the Chief Minister said that the second phase of “Mil Banche Madhya Pradesh” started in schools to improve quality of education with public participation is beginning from August 26. He said that government will bear the expenses of education of students of M.P Board of Secondary Education who secure more than 75 per cent in their 12th Board exams for admission in engineering, medical and other colleges. The Central Board has also been included in this scheme by increasing the limit of secured marks up to 85 per cent.

MoU to give jobs to 5 lakh youths

On women empowerment he said that 25 lakh ladli laxmi’s have been registered. Women have been given 50 per cent reservation in local bodies and 33 per cent in government jobs. Recruitment of women in police force is being encouraged. Self-help-groups of women are being promoted for their economic prosperity. Shri Chouhan said that 7 lakh youths will be imparted training in Kaushal Vikas Mission. MoU has been signed with various institutions to provide jobs to 5 lakh skilled youths. A global level Global Skill Park is being set up in Bhopal with the support of Singapore. Shri Chouhan said that Happiness Department has also been established under which Anandam Kendras have been set up. He lauded the initiative by youths which they call Robin Hood under which leftover food from parties, weddings etc. is collected and distributed to the needy. The Chief Minister has called upon the financially sound persons to spend at least 2 per cent of their earned income to help the needy. On Deendayal Vananchal Yojana he said that a five-year integrated plan has been initiated for the welfare of SC/ST category.

Balance between development and environment must

On environment conservation the Chief Minister talked about the Narmada Seva Yatra for rejuvenating Narmada river. He said that more than 6 crore saplings were planted on both the ghats of Narmada on July 2. There should be a balance between development and environment. He called upon the citizens to plant at least one sapling and take up its responsibility.

On employees welfare, Shri Chouhan said that the state government is committed towards the welfare of the employees. Service conditions of guest faculty were improved. He urged all officials/employees connected with public service to remain honest and serve and government will take care of them.

Earlier the Chief Minister hoisted the national flag at CM House following which they went to Shaurya Smarak. He recalled the martyrs who laid down their lives for the country’s freedom and paid tributes. He honoured police officials and jawans with President’s Best Service Medal, Distinguished Service, Chief Minister’s Distinguished Award etc.
