Bhubaneswar: The Supreme Court Collegium on Friday recommended the appointment of Justice K. S. Jhaveri as the new Chief Justice of Orissa High Court. Collegium recommendED the name of Orissa High Court Chief Justice Vineet Saran for elevation to the apex court of India.
Enrolled in the Bar in 1983, Justice Jhaveri was made an additional judge of the Gujarat High Court in 2004. He became a permanent judge in 2005.
Later, Jhaveri was transferred to Rajasthan High Court in August 2016. Justice Aniruddha Bose was appointed as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court and Justice Rajendra Menon, who is currently the Patna High Court Chief Justice, was appointed the Delhi High Court Chief Justice.
