Angul: The interdepartmental football tournament Futsal – 2019, organised by Jindal Officer Club (JOC) in Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL), Angul was concluded on 24th Sept, evening in presence of mammoth gathering. Team Royal Dynamos, comprising players from HR,C-Utility,ED-Office,Safety,etc won the match by defeating the team Extreme in a thrilling penalty shootout of 2-1 goals .
Mr. Damodar Mittal, Head Iron Making and General Secretary JOC,JSPL graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and distributed trophies to the Winner and Runners-up teams in presence of other department heads like, Mr.Alok Malhotra, VP-HR & ES, Mr. Atul Dubey, VP-SMS,etc.
This yearly soccer tournament played under flood-light was inaugurated on 18th of September, with six teams comprising best players from various departments of JSPL, Angul to exhibit their sporting spirit and teamwork in best possible manner.
Mr. Gajender Singh Sekhawat and Mr. Anurag Rout of team Extreme were awarded with the Golden Boot Award and Best Goalkeeper Award of the tournament respectively whereas Mr. Bhaskar Halder of Josh team was declared as the player of the tournament.
