I was an introvert, I used to hate limelight: Vicky Kaushal

Bhubaneswar: Vicky Kaushal has proved his mettle to be known as one of the finest talents in Bollywood with stellar performances in some of 2018’s superhit movies like Raazi and Sanju. Coming from an engineering background, Vicky Kaushal made his debut in Bollywood with Masaan in 2015, and his power packed performance ensured that people take note of the new entrant in the film industry.
Brushing off his success with modesty, Vicky Kaushal in an interview on the show SapneSachHote Hain on Tata Sky Acting Adda, revealed his dream of spending each day of his life on a movie set. He said, “Being an engineer, I tore my job letter to give my entire attention to acting. Your backup can be your weakness, and thus to give those 2-3% extra, I dropped my backup. Today everybody is giving 100% to everything, but with backup, you will lose the motivation to put in those extra efforts.”
Talking about his inhibitions at the onset of his career, he said, ‘I was an introvert, I used to hate limelight. But you need to face your inhibitions. Face your inferiority complex. Over the years get control over your fear because fear keeps you alive and pushes you to do better.”
Looking forward to his future projects – Uri&Takht, Vicky says he will keep his success aside and focus on putting extra effort to all his upcoming roles.
