International Nurses Day celebrated at Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro

West Bokaro: Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro celebrated the International Nurses Day in a grand manner at its conference room on Sunday.

Mr Sanjay Kumar Singh, General Manager (Coal), Tata Steel graced the occasion as chief guest along with Mr Mahesh Prasad, President, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Sangh (RCMS), Mr Kailash Gope, Secretary, RCMS and Dr Ashish Kumar Roy, Chief medical Officer, Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro.

All doctors, nurses and para-medical staff participated in the celebrations. The celebrations started with nursing pledge followed by enthralling cultural performances in form of songs, poetry and dances by the nurses of the hospital.

Addressing the audience, Mr Sanjay Kumar Singh, General Manager (Coal), Tata Steel said, “The nurses care for the patients round the year and not only help them heal physically but also help them become stronger individuals with strong mind. We are thankful to the nurses for their dedicated services.”

It is worth mentioning here that International Nurses Day is celebrated every year on May 12, commemorating the birth anniversary of Florence Nightangle, founder of modern day nursing. The theme for this year was ‘Nurses: A voice to Lead – Health for All’.
