Bhubaneswar: International Association of Athletics Federations president Mr Sebastian Coe met Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar.

The Olympic gold medalist’s admiration of infrastructure and facilities at Kalinga Stadium for Asian Athletics Championship 2017 as world class is true vindication of our efforts and makes Odisha proud,” said CM Naveen Patnaik after the meeting.
IAAF president Lord Sebastian Coe on Tuesday praised the facilities and infrastructure of the Kalinga Stadium here.
The stadium is the venue for the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships that will be inaugurated on Wednesday.
“I went to the warm up area, saw athletes practicing there and saw the facilities there. The warm up area is one of the best I’ve ever seen,” said Coe.
“Though I was not supposed to see the rehearsal of the inaugural event since that is supposed to be a surprise for me, I’m sorry I entered the main area too. It looked good. From what I witnessed, the athletes are very pleased with the facilities,” added Coe.
