Bhubaneswar: Infosys Bhubaneswar DC was awarded as Winner in 14th state level competition of (Best practices in Environment, Health and Safety). The award was handed over by Jagi Mangat Panda (Chairperson, Eastern Region, CII) during their annual day celebration on 27th Feb’2019 in Hotel Hindustan International.
Infosys had participated in 14th state level competition organized by CII on Best practices in Health, Safety and Environment for the first time which took place on 12th October’2018.
The competition provided a unique forum to exchange ideas and share experience among industries on Best practices in EHS. This was also an opportunity to get an insight into some of the outstanding examples on EHS management; understand how to promote and encourage the EHS movement within their own organization. Awards was given to winning teams (first, second and third). The judges were from eminent sector of environment , health and safety.
All major companies ( Jindal, Hindlco, Aditya Birla Tata Steel,ACC cements, TCS etc), PSUs (NALCO,IOCL,PPL etc) and government bodies (DRDO) around 22 companies of the state took part in this competition. They showcased their initiatives in various sectors
