Paradeep: IFFCO Paradeep unit celebrated 47th National Safety Week from 4th March, 2018 to 10th March, 2018 for inculcating Safety awareness amongst the employees, contractors & their workers.
On 10th March, Concluding Day function was organized in the Training Hall of Guest House which was attended by employees & contractor workers. Shri A. K. Panda, Unit Head was the chief guest of the function. Shri S.K. Kamble, Manager (F&S) while delivering welcome speech, advised everyone to create safety culture and motivate their colleagues for adopting safe work culture in the organization.
Shri A. K. Panda, Unit Head while delivering his key note address advised employees that it is our moral duty to provide clean, safe and fearless environment to our employees and contractor workers, hence we should be vigilant and take utmost care while on job to avoid any untoward incidence which may results in an accident. Shri K.J.Patel, General Manager (Maint.) cautioned everyone to be vigilant while on road or while on the job to avoid any accident. Shri J.P. Srivastava, JGM (E&S) expressed hope to be fully safe and accident free coming years.
A week long programme was worked out and events were planned in such a way to cover all the segments of employees & their family members and Contractor workmen &Ladies. Various safety competitions and safety talk followed by demonstration of safety gadgets were organized to promote safety awareness among the employees, their family members, children and contractor workers. Propagating safety in the day to day job but during this week the special drive was carried out to spread the message of safety. Plant / Maintenance in-charge delivered safety talks to their subordinates which followed by demonstration of Fire Extinguishers, Breathing Apparatus set and other F & S Equipments by Fire & Safety staff to refresh them for the prompt operation during any emergency. Prizes to all winners in different safety competitions were distributed by Shri A.K.Panda, Unit Head & Shri K.J.Patel, GM (Maint.) and they congratulated all the winners. Finally, Shri S.K.Kamble, Manager (F&S) gave vote of thanks.
