Bhubaneswar: In this new era of globalization, where corporates have to deal with tons of compliance issues, scams and serious board matters, good corporate governance practices plays a pivotal role in harnessing the true potential of an organization. Transparency through good governance is the key to growth, profitability and stability of any nation. There is a need to reinforce good governance owing to the massive competition amongst all businesses across sectors at the national, as well as international level. In light of this, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is organising its Golden Jubilee Year National Convention of Company Secretaries (46th Edition ) and International Conference ( 6th Edition) at Bhubaneswar from 30th August 2018 – 1st September, 2018 at Mayfair Convention, Hotels and Resorts, Bhubaneswar.
Hon’ble Chief Minister Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and will inaugurate the ICSI’s National Convention of Company Secretaries ( 46th edition) and International Conference ( 6th edition) on 30th August, 2018 .
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship will grace the National Convention of Company Secretaries as Special Guest on Second Day of the Convention.
A curtain raiser press conference was organised at Bhubaneswar today to announce the 46th National Convention of Company Secretaries.
CS Makrand Lele, President, ICSI, CS Ahalada Rao V, Vice-President, ICSI and CS S.K Agrawala (Council Member, ICSI and Chairman, 46th National Convention Organising Sub-Committee) addressed the media .
CS Makarand Lele, President, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), while addressing the media said, “ Half a century ago, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India was founded with an objective to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries. In these fifty golden years of its journey with heaps of milestones, the Institute has developed as a Premier National Professional Body. This enriching journey which started in year 1968 with the small infrastructure, has now expanded to length and width of the country. In addition, the Institute has developed close association with Company Secretaries and Governance Institutes from around the world. The institution has been relentlessly working towards promoting good corporate governance practices”.
