Padmaavat
Padmaavat is a popular Indian epic period drama film based on the popular poem Padmavat by Malik Muhammad Jayasi. The film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and had the star cast of Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. The film also featured other stars like Aditi Rao Hydari, Jim Sarbh, Raza Murad, and Anupriya Goenka in supporting roles. The lead character of Rani Padmavati was played by Deepika Padukone. Padmaavat is one of the most expensive Indian films ever made with a production budget of ₹2.15 billion. The film had faced many numerous controversies which caused a delay in its release. The film was finally released on 25 January 2018. Padmavat was the first Indian film to be released in IMAX 3D. Ranveer Singh received a lot of acclaim for his portrayal of Sultan Alauddin Khilji. Padmavat made a worldwide box office gross revenue of ₹585.87 crore. It is the highest grossing bollywood movie of 2018.
Sanju
Sanju is a popular Indian biographical film based on the life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. The film was directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor who plays the onscreen Sanjay Dutt in the film. He had to include a lot of amino acid rich foods in his diet and workout to beef up to play Sanjay Dutt. The film also features Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala as Nargis, Dia Mirza as Manyata Dutt, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Jim Sarbh in supporting roles. Sanju was released worldwide on 29 June 2018, and was well received by the audience. Sanju made a worldwide box office gross revenue of ₹528.47 crore making it the second highest grossing bollywood movie of 2018.
Race 3
Race 3 is an Indian action thriller film starring Salman Khan. The film was directed by Remo D’Souza. The film was released on 15 June 2018. The star cast of Race 3 is Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Freddy Daruwala. Race 3 made a worldwide box office gross revenue of ₹352.48 crore making it the third highest grossing bollywood movie of 2018.
