Former Congress leader Naba Das holds talks with BJD leaders regarding Jan 24 public meeting of CM Naveen Patnaik in Jharsuguda

Bhubaneswar: MLA Naba Das, who resigned as working president of Odisha unit of Congress, holds talks with BJD’s Sanjay Das Burma & Pranab Prakash Das in Jharsuguda regarding the Jan 24 public meeting where his official entry into BJD will be announced.Kishore Mohanty & Anup Sai also present.

It should be noted that Jharsuguda MLA Naba Kishore Das on Wednesday resigned from the primary membership of the party and from the post of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) working president.

Das is likely to join the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on January 24. Das said he would join the ruling party for the development of his constituency and made it clear that he has no qualms with OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik.

According to sources, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Amalipali in Jharsuguda district on January 24 to address a meeting. The CM will formally make an announcement about the induction of Das into the party.

On the occasion, the CM will also launch a cancer hospital, drinking water supply project, modern diagnostic centre and pathology centre and Choukipada railway over-bridge.
